I watched maybe 3 minutes of the Golden Globes last night,

and it included Jessica Chastain’s acceptance speech, which struck me as incredibly self-satisfied and self-aggrandizing.

"I’ve wanted to be an actress since I was a little girl and I’ve worked for a really long time. I’ve auditioned and struggled and fought and been on the sidelines for years and to be here now in this moment it is a beautiful feeling to receive this encouragement and support. Thank you so much," Chastain said.

It must have been so hard for her to go on all those auditions. Bitch, please. Construction is work. Nursing is work. Teaching is work. Acting isn’t work.

Get some self-awareness, and quick.
